Scouting is a totally voluntary organisation and we need all the help we can get so we are always on the lookout for new leaders or helpers. Its fun, rewarding and we do it to help develop and grow the boys & girls of Hartford.
If you would like to join us or just to help on the odd occasion, then please talk to any leader or email us.
Assisting In Transport /Activities
When we take the scouts on trips locally or long distance, then we often need help with transport. We typically have 35+ Scouts to ferry around and one or two parents assisting can often make the difference of being able to run a trip or not.
So if you are able to help please let us know.
Fund Raising
The Scout Group is having difficulties breaking even on its funding and so we are going to place more emphasis on fund raising events in the coming year.
The annual Quiz evening was very successful, yet again, and we have a couple of new ideas just being organised. Help will be needed to make these as successful as the Quiz evening.
So, if you have any suggestions for fund raising activities, have access to schemes that can help to raise funds, or are able to assist in any way, please get in touch.
You can always make a personal donation and we can assure you that all proceeds will only be used to directly benefit the boys & girls of 1st Hartford Scout Group.
